I noticed the Fred and Friends MANATEA Silicone Tea Infuser a few years ago while browsing Pinterest. I thought it was adorable and added it to one of my boards right away. As luck would have it, I found my very own Manatea in real life just a short time after that, at the SMMOA gift shop. It was so ridiculously cute that there was no way I was leaving the store without buying one. I giggle every time I look at his little smiling face. 🙂

Florida Meets Alaska
He just looks so happy hanging out on the side of the cup! And yes, he is a “he”, and I have named him Manny, because duh.
The Manatea even cracks me up when he is just chilling on a dish. He looks like he is doing push-ups! This little guy is the tea infuser to use if you are in need of cheering up or having a bad day. Or if you just love cute tea infusers.
Manny was my go-to tea infuser for a bit, and he served up many a fine herbal blend before I made the mistake of filling him with Earl Grey. The Earl Grey itself was not the problem; the problem is that the fragrant oils of the Earl Grey seem to have somehow bonded with the infuser’s silicone, leaving Manny permanently bergamot scented. Perhaps fitting, since I found him at Bergamot Station. 🙂
